Artis
Johnson has served as Board President since
1997. Mr. Johnson has extensive experience
banking and finance. He worked in the banking
industry for more than 25 years before
retiring at Bank of America in 2000. Mr.
Johnson graduated from
Bishop
College
in
Dallas
where he received a Bachelor of Science
degree. He also attended at
Prairie
View
A&M
University
where he
to
ok
graduate coursework in education. Mr. Johnson
has served on the Hutchins City Council since
1990 and has served as the City's mayor
since 2000. Mr. Johnson received the
Leadership Excellence in Neighborhood
Development from Bank of America in 1999.

Vernon Pellum ,

Vernon
Pellum has been a resident of Hutchins since
2006.
He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Leisure
Studies from Grambling State University and a
Masters Degree in Recreation Management from the
University of North Texas.
Mr. Pellum has worked in the Recreational Field
for the last seven years. He is married to Skyla
Pellum and has three children |

Guy Brown,
CEcD, Executive Director
Guy Brown began working for the Hutchins EDC in
1997.
Guy is a Certified Economic Developer, a
graduate of the Economic Development Institute
and has a Bachelors degree in Mass
Communications from Midwestern State University.
Other positions Guy has held include
Economic Development Coordinator for the City of
Fort Worth and Executive Director of the Sachse
EDC.
Guy
and wife Mindy have two children, Michael and
Sara Jane.
